Two sections: Reading and Writing & Math

Reading and Writing section (54 items): tests your ability to read critically; use information and ideas in texts; analyze the craft and structure of texts; revise texts to improve the rhetorical expression of ideas; and edit texts to conform to core conventions of Standard English

• Two-stage adaptive test design: one Reading and Writing section administered through two separately timed modules

• 54 multiple-choice questions - 27 questions per module

• 64 minutes  - 32 minutes per module

• questions on the Reading and Writing section represent one of four content domains: 1) Craft and Structure, 2) Information and Ideas, 3) Standard English Conventions, and 4) Expression of Ideas

Math section (44 items): measure students’ fluency with, understanding of, and ability to apply the math concepts, skills, and practices consistent with college-level work

• Two-stage adaptive test design: one Math section administered through two separately timed modules

• 44-question section consists of multiple-choice and student-produced response (SPR) questions - 22 questions per module

• 70 minutes - 35 minutes per module

• questions cover all four content domains: 1) Algebra, 2) Advanced Math, 3) Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and 4) Geometry & Trigonometry
